Model Context Protocol (MCP) Integration

An AI assistant (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or anything else that speaks MCP) can connect directly to tAle. You can then ask it to:

  • "Formulate a NEIPA recipe for 15 Liters with 75% efficiency."
  • "Scale Citra Sunshine NEIPA to 5 Gallons."
  • "Analyze the bitterness-to-gravity ratio (BU/GU) for my Stout."
  • "Log a tasting note rating of 5 stars for my batch."

Endpoint POST /mcp speaks JSON-RPC 2.0 (Streamable HTTP). The older REST helpers /mcp/tools and /mcp/call still work for scripts. An admin can find the access token on the Users page.

What each role can do

AI assistant access (MCP)

This token lets an AI assistant read and edit the brewery through the MCP endpoint. It bypasses the login, so treat it like a password — anyone holding it has brewer-level access.
